PAOK prepares for Stoiximan Super League match against Kalamata
PAOK has returned to full training sessions following the international break as the team prepares for the upcoming match against Kalamata. This fixture, part of the 6th round of the Stoiximan Super League, is scheduled for next Monday at Toumba Stadium. Coach Alessio Lisi now has almost the entire roster at his disposal, including international players who have rejoined the squad. Notably, Kiril Despodov participated in parts of the team training, signaling his recovery from injury.
Technical staff is currently monitoring the fitness of Andrija Zivkovic and Cherif Ndiaye, who have been dealing with minor health issues. While early medical assessments suggest no major cause for alarm, the team management is exercising caution to avoid unnecessary risks. During the break, coach Lisi focused on physical conditioning, tactical cohesion, and improving the team's performance, as they aim to return to winning ways in the league.
The final training sessions this weekend will determine the availability of Zivkovic and Ndiaye for the starting lineup. The absence of mid-week European matches has allowed the coaching staff to dedicate extensive time to refining team tactics and ensuring players are fully prepared for the resumption of domestic duties.
