Volt Cyprus elects new leadership at electoral congress
On Saturday, October 10, 2026, Volt Cyprus held its electoral congress at the Discovery Hall of the University of Nicosia to elect its new leadership and Political Council members. The internal party process involved electronic voting by party members to determine the new co-presidents and vice-presidents.
Pieros Karoullas was elected as the male co-president with 121 votes (68.4%), defeating Ioannis Tirkidis, who received 56 votes (31.6%). For the position of female co-president, Lysia Demetriou was elected with 103 votes (57.5%), surpassing Natasa Ioannou, who received 76 votes (42.5%). Regarding the vice-presidential roles, Rodoula Demetriadou was elected unopposed as female vice-president. Alexandros Apostolides was elected as male vice-president, securing 94 votes against Frixos Vryonides.
Following the leadership elections, the congress proceeded with the voting process to determine the remaining members of the Political Council. The event concludes the latest cycle of internal party leadership renewals, establishing the new administrative direction for the organization.
