Pafos FC secures comeback victory against Anorthosis

On October 11, 2026, Pafos FC defeated Anorthosis 3-1 at the Freedom Antonis Papadopoulos stadium during the fifth matchday of the Cyprus League by Stoiximan. Despite a goalless start, Anorthosis took the lead in the 42nd minute when Alessio Da Cruz scored following an assist from Mindernob, with the ball deflecting off Zagge past goalkeeper Mayeski.

Pafos FC staged an aggressive second-half comeback. Zagge equalized in the 46th minute with a powerful strike, followed by a goal from Lele just two minutes later, assisted by Biel. In the 57th minute, Lele capitalized on a defensive error by Artymatas to secure his second goal, finalizing the 3-1 score. This victory returns Pafos to winning ways following their previous loss to AEL.

For Anorthosis, this result marks their fourth defeat in five league matches, increasing pressure on the squad under manager Nestor El Maestro. Conversely, the victory provides momentum for Pafos FC ahead of their Conference League opener against Atalanta in Bergamo on October 15.
