On October 11, 2026, Pafos FC defeated Anorthosis 3-1 during the 5th matchday of the Cyprus League by Stoiximan at the Freedom Antonis Papadopoulos stadium in Larnaca. Anorthosis opened the scoring in the 42nd minute through Alessio Da Cruz. However, Pafos FC responded with a powerful display in the second half, scoring three goals within a decisive 12-minute span. Zaghe equalized in the 46th minute, followed by two goals from Lele in the 48th and 57th minutes, the latter capitalising on a defensive error by Artymatas.

This victory marked a significant comeback for the team managed by Ricardo Sa Pinto following their previous loss to AEL. Following this result, Pafos FC has reached 10 points in the league standings and is now preparing for their upcoming UEFA Conference League opener against Atalanta in Bergamo on October 15, 2026.
