Road maintenance and asphalt works scheduled across Cyprus

Various road maintenance and improvement projects are scheduled across Cyprus throughout October and November 2026. On the Larnaca-Kofinou motorway, tree pruning and brush removal are taking place from September 21 to October 9, between 08:30 and 16:30, with partial shoulder closures but no impact on traffic flow. Additionally, the Forestry Department is conducting irrigation work on the Limassol-Nicosia motorway between the GSP roundabout and the Nicosia-Larnaca junction from October 2 to November 30, affecting shoulders in 300-meter segments during daytime hours.

Simultaneously, the Nicosia Municipality has announced significant asphalt paving and road works. On October 15, the Bata roundabout in Kaimakli will undergo paving. Further closures are scheduled for Salaminos Avenue on October 19, Dimostheni Severi Avenue on October 20, and the Presidential Palace Avenue from October 21 to 22. These urban works are scheduled for overnight hours, specifically between 21:00 and 06:00, requiring total road closures. Motorists are advised to exercise caution and adhere to local signage during these periods.
