Cyprus promotes halloumi at ANUGA Select India 2026

The Cypriot Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry participated in the ANUGA Select India 2026 trade fair, held from September 29 to October 1 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai. Represented by the Trade Center of Cyprus in New Delhi, the mission aimed to establish new commercial channels with the Indian market by connecting with local importers, distributors, retailers, and hospitality industry representatives.

Central to the Cypriot mission was the promotion of PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) halloumi. To familiarize Indian professionals with the product, the delegation hosted live cooking demonstrations and guided tasting sessions at their information stand. These culinary displays allowed visitors to explore the unique characteristics and potential applications of halloumi in modern gastronomy. The initiative is part of an ongoing effort to expand the reach of Cypriot food and beverage products within the Indian business landscape.
