Monsieur Doumani return to Limassol for live performance at PSI Foundation

The award-winning musical trio Monsieur Doumani is set to return to Limassol for a dynamic concert at the PSI Foundation. This performance features a fusion of traditional Cypriot music with contemporary genres, including jazz, rock, psychedelia, and avant-garde. The trio, consisting of musicians playing the tzouras, trombone, and acoustic guitar, will integrate electronics and looping techniques to create an evolving soundscape.

Formed in Nicosia in 2012, the group has gained international recognition, notably being described by The Guardian as one of the most inventive and confident acts in the current music scene. Their work is characterized by the transformation of familiar Mediterranean sounds into hypnotic and original arrangements. The upcoming event is held as part of the parallel programming for the "Bill Viola. Unspoken" exhibition, emphasizing the connection between artistic expression, cultural identity, and human memory.
