Dani Carvajal completes move to Getafe

Veteran defender Dani Carvajal has officially joined Getafe following the resolution of the club's financial registration issues. After reaching a verbal agreement earlier this month, Carvajal visited the team's offices on October 13, 2026, to finalize and sign his contract.

The transfer was initially stalled because the Spanish football league had restricted Getafe from registering new players due to internal financial constraints. Following the league's recent approval, the club was able to clear the formal hurdles necessary to bring the experienced defender into the squad to bolster their defensive line.

Carvajal had been a free agent since his departure from Real Madrid at the end of the summer. With the administrative process now concluded, the player is expected to join the first-team training immediately to prepare for the upcoming matches.
