AEL Limassol spokesperson discusses team performance and recovery

AEL Limassol spokesperson Nikolas Leventis spoke on October 13, 2026, regarding the team's current standings and its recovery following a significant 6-0 defeat to APOEL. During an interview on SPORT FM, Leventis emphasized that while the team is currently in first place, the management does not consider the achievement definitive given the long season ahead and the difficulty of each upcoming match. The primary goal remains to secure victories on a weekly basis.

Addressing the heavy loss at the GSP stadium, Leventis noted that the result did not reflect the true identity of this year’s AEL squad. He credited coach Martins for instilling a resilient mentality and praised the individual qualities of key players, such as Jovetic, who have been instrumental in leading the team through difficult periods. The spokesperson highlighted that having players with strong personalities has been the key factor in the team's ability to maintain focus and recover effectively after setbacks, including their recent success against Omonia 29th May.
