UK polling shows Conservatives rising as Reform UK slips
A new YouGov poll conducted for The Times and Sky News on October 11-12 reveals shifting political dynamics in the United Kingdom. The ruling Labour Party, led by Prime Minister Andy Burnham, remains in the lead with 24% support, though it has seen a three-percentage-point decline. Meanwhile, the Conservative Party under Kemi Badenoch has risen by three points to reach 23%, placing them within the margin of error of the lead.
Nigel Farage’s Reform UK party has slipped to third place with 21%, a one-point decrease from previous measurements. Analysts attribute the Conservatives' improved standing to recent economic and tax policy announcements made during their party conference. The survey, which sampled 2,393 British adults, also shows the Liberal Democrats polling at 12% and the Green Party at 11%. Despite the narrowing gap between the three major parties, the current political landscape reflects a high degree of volatility in voter support.
