Cyprus Ethics Commission partners with Sportradar to combat match-fixing
On October 13, 2026, the Cyprus Ethics and Sports Protection Commission announced a new partnership with Sportradar AG, a global leader in sports integrity. This collaboration aims to enhance efforts to prevent and combat match-fixing across various athletic events held in Cyprus.
Under the terms of the agreement, Sportradar will provide systematic monitoring of local competitions and issue specialized alerts regarding potential suspicious activity. Beyond monitoring, the partnership focuses on knowledge transfer, training, and the application of advanced betting data analysis methods to improve detection capabilities. Sportradar, which already works with major organizations like UEFA and the NBA, will support these efforts by sharing its international expertise.
As part of this initiative, the Commission's Ethics School will host a specialized training seminar in Nicosia on November 27 and 28. Trainers and representatives from Sportradar are scheduled to participate, marking the next step in integrating these advanced integrity tools into the Cypriot sporting framework.
