Nicosia Book Fest celebrates literature with focus on Spain
The Nicosia Book Fest returned to Acropolis Park on October 13, 2026, drawing thousands of visitors of all ages to celebrate literature and culture. Organized by the Prometheus Research Institute, the event highlighted the power of books to foster dialogue and cross-border connections.
This year’s edition featured Spain as the honoured country, with the Embassy of Spain and the Cervantes Institute playing key roles in developing the literary programme. Participants included numerous publishers, bookshops, authors, poets, and researchers, who showcased both new and classic works to the public.
The festival's success was attributed to a collective effort involving various stakeholders. Organizers extended official gratitude to the Strovolos Municipality for providing the venue, as well as the Deputy Ministry of Culture for its ongoing support. The event concluded successfully, having served as a major cultural hub for the community.
