Road infrastructure upgrades begin in Latsia and Geri
The Municipality of Latsia-Geri has officially announced the commencement of road infrastructure improvement works, which involve the removal and modification of existing speed humps within its municipal districts. These efforts are part of a broader initiative aimed at enhancing road safety and optimizing traffic flow for local residents and commuters.
The project specifically includes the removal of 20 speed humps in Latsia and 16 in Geri. Additionally, the municipality plans to reconstruct two existing speed humps that have been deemed unsuitable, replace one hump with a raised pedestrian crossing, and construct a new raised platform. These upgrades are intended to modernize the existing road infrastructure and improve conditions for all road users.
During the execution of these works, the local authority has warned that drivers may experience temporary traffic adjustments, delays, or minor inconveniences in the affected areas. The municipality has expressed its apologies for any potential disruption and has called for the public’s patience and cooperation. Officials stated that they are exerting every effort to ensure the project is completed as quickly and safely as possible.
