Municipality of South Nicosia-Idalio renovates and builds 23 parks

The Municipality of South Nicosia-Idalio has completed the construction and renovation of 23 parks distributed across all six municipal districts. This initiative aims to enhance the quality of life for residents by providing modern spaces for recreation, play, and socialization. The primary focus of the project was the modernization of playgrounds to comply with contemporary European safety standards, including the installation of shock-absorbing surfaces to prevent injuries.

Beyond these completed works, the municipal authority is planning further developments to continue improving the urban infrastructure. Future projects include the creation of four additional parks with an estimated total investment exceeding 600,000 euros. Furthermore, the municipality has noted plans for a major linear park project valued at 6 million euros, signaling a long-term commitment to improving public accessibility and the overall image of the municipal neighborhoods.
