AEL captain Davor Zdravkovski begins business studies

Davor Zdravkovski, the captain of the Cypriot football club AEL, has officially enrolled in a Business Administration program at the European University Cyprus. This academic pursuit was made possible through a 75% scholarship program offered by the Pancyprian Footballers Association (PASP).

The decision was announced following a meeting between the player and the Executive President of PASP, Spyros Neofytidis, at the AEL training center. Zdravkovski emphasized the importance of planning for the future, noting that a professional football career is inherently short and often unpredictable. He expressed encouragement to his peers, urging fellow athletes to take the initiative and pursue education while still active in sports.

This initiative highlights the growing trend of professional athletes in Cyprus seeking dual-career pathways. By leveraging the collaboration between universities and players' associations, athletes are gaining the tools necessary for a smooth professional transition once their competitive careers conclude. No further administrative steps or upcoming deadlines were disclosed, as the focus remains on the athlete balancing his current professional duties at AEL with his new academic commitments.
