Zacharias Koulias comments on Anna Vissi and Nikos Karvelas

During a recent appearance on the SIGMA television program "Protoselido" on October 14, 2026, Cypriot politician Zacharias Koulias discussed the public profile and recent discourse surrounding entertainers Anna Vissi and Nikos Karvelas. Koulias expressed personal admiration for Vissi, describing her as an "ageless girl" and a fellow countrywoman, while noting he has never met her personally despite their similar age. He went on to remark that if Vissi were a member of the Democratic Party (DIKO), it would be highly beneficial for the party's political efforts.

In contrast, Koulias explicitly stated he does not share the same affinity for musician Nikos Karvelas, suggesting that Karvelas is detached from reality. Koulias also speculated that Vissi leans towards the political center, attempting to align her public image with his own political sphere. The comments were made in a lighthearted, observational context during an interview regarding current events and public figures.
