Cyprus and Brazil establish joint business and investment council
On October 15, 2026, Invest Cyprus, the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KEVE), and the Brazilian organization Fecomercio Goias officially established the Cyprus–Brazil Business and Investment Council. The agreement was formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding signed during the Cyprus–Brazil Business Forum and B2B Networking Event held in Nicosia. This event marked the first organized business delegation from Brazil to visit Cyprus.
The council is designed to function as a permanent mechanism for fostering institutional and economic cooperation. By leveraging Cyprus as a strategic gateway, the partnership aims to facilitate the expansion of Brazilian enterprises into European and Middle Eastern markets. Conversely, the agreement is intended to provide Cypriot companies with new avenues for growth and investment opportunities within the Brazilian market and the broader Latin American region.
This initiative serves as the culmination of a three-year strategic effort by Invest Cyprus to strengthen bilateral ties and tap into the potential of the Brazilian market. Moving forward, the council is expected to serve as the primary platform for coordinating business partnerships and navigating investment opportunities between the two nations.
