APOEL and Pafos FC set to clash in Cyprus League match

Pafos FC is set to host APOEL on October 19, 2026, at the Stelios Kyriakides Stadium for the sixth round of the Cyprus League by Stoiximan. Both teams enter the match with the ambition of securing back-to-back league victories. APOEL, led by coach Nikos Papadopoulos, is coming off a 2-1 win against Nea Salamina and aims to break a long-standing drought for consecutive league wins, having struggled with form in recent away matches.

APOEL has received a significant boost with the return of captain Konstantinos Laifis, who has recovered from a muscle injury, alongside options like Javi Sastre and Kostas Stafylidis. Conversely, Pafos FC, managed by Ricardo Sa Pinto, seeks its first home win of the season after a 3-1 loss to Atalanta in European competition. Pafos remains winless and goalless at home in the league, having recorded a 0-0 draw against Olympiakos and a 0-2 loss to AEL. The match is viewed as a crucial test for both sides to prove their consistency and climb higher in the league standings.
