Car crashes into pet shop in Limassol

In the early hours of Friday, October 16, 2026, a vehicle veered off the road and crashed into the storefront of a pet shop located on Agias Fylaxeos Street near the Laniteio school in Limassol. The incident occurred between 1:00 and 1:30 a.m., resulting in extensive damage to both the commercial property and the vehicle, which had its airbags deployed during the impact.

Despite the significant structural damage to the storefront and debris scattered across the sidewalk, authorities confirmed that no injuries were sustained by anyone. Police, along with the Fire Service, arrived at the scene shortly after the crash. The owner of the business was also present to assess the destruction. While a video of the incident was captured and circulated by the RoadReportCY page, the exact circumstances leading to the driver losing control of the vehicle remain under official investigation. This event follows a separate incident reported earlier on October 15, involving a suspected intoxicated driver on Gladstonos Street, though the authorities have treated these as distinct cases.
