APOEL reaches milestone in private stadium project development

The company Yellow and Blue Sports Management Ltd, responsible for the licensing and construction of APOEL's new stadium, announced a significant development in the project. On October 15, 2026, the company officially submitted an application for a town-planning permit to the relevant authorities, marking a major step toward the facility's realization.

Following the submission, the project enters the next phase of the approval process. The architectural designs are finalized, and both the environmental and traffic impact studies have been completed. Furthermore, all necessary consultations with competent government and community services have been conducted. APOEL spokesperson Nektarios Petevinos confirmed that the project is complex, requiring extensive coordination with various authorities to avoid errors during the lengthy approval stages. Currently, the company is also working on the documentation required for the building permit, a process which is described as being in an advanced stage.
