Garry Rodrigues named MVP of the 5th round of the Cyprus League

Apollon Limassol player Garry Rodrigues has been named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the 5th round of the 2026/27 Cyprus League by Stoiximan. The distinction was awarded based on the SportsBase international football evaluation index, in collaboration with the Institute of Sports Analysis (INSA). Rodrigues achieved an evaluation rating of 221, narrowly beating Paphos FC player Lele, who secured a rating of 219.

In addition to the top player award, the evaluation highlighted the performance of goalkeepers, naming Mayeski—also representing Apollon Limassol—as the best goalkeeper of the round with a rating of 205. These awards are part of a recurring initiative organized by the Pancyprian Footballers Association in partnership with Unicars and Volkswagen. The program aims to recognize top performances throughout the season using objective data analysis and advanced performance metrics to provide a fair assessment of player impact on the pitch.
