BYD unveils ATTO 8 flagship SUV at Paris Motor Show

Chinese automaker BYD officially introduced its new flagship seven-seater SUV, the ATTO 8, during the Paris Motor Show on October 16, 2026. This model expands the company's current SUV lineup, which already includes the ATTO 2, ATTO 3, SEALION 5, SEALION 7, and SEAL U models.

The vehicle introduces BYD’s new FLASH Charging technology, capable of charging the battery from 10% to 97% in just nine minutes. The SUV will be available in rear-wheel and all-wheel drive configurations when it hits European markets in the first quarter of 2027. Customers can choose between an 115 kWh battery offering a range of 653 kilometers or a performance-oriented Excellence AWD version. The latter produces 775 horsepower and achieves acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds.

Stella Li, Executive Vice President of BYD, stated that the ATTO 8 represents the company's commitment to translating advanced technology into practical automotive solutions. The release underscores the manufacturer's ongoing efforts to enhance its global electric vehicle portfolio with higher capacity batteries and significantly reduced charging times.
