APOEL centennial book release proceeds following dispute resolution
The distribution of the commemorative book titled "APOEL 1926–2026, 100 Years Legend," marking the centennial of the APOEL club, has resumed following a brief suspension. The initial delay was caused by legal threats from two former club presidents who objected to specific references within the publication, deeming them offensive. The individuals, who held positions in both the sports association and the company, had threatened legal action if the content was not retracted.
Following negotiations, the dispute has been resolved, allowing the book to be made available to the public. The publication is a limited edition consisting of 1,926 numbered copies, a figure chosen to honor the club's founding year. The books are being sold through the official online store and the physical Orange Shop. Demand has been high, as the initial stock at the Orange Shop was quickly depleted, necessitating a restock. The club management aims for a total sell-out of the limited edition series.
