Cypriot stadiums submit CCTV audit reports for mandatory upgrades
The Cyprus Sports Organisation (KOA) announced on October 16, 2026, that all Category A stadium authorities, as well as the authorities for the Tsireio and Paralimni stadiums, have successfully met the first project milestone. Each facility submitted a comparative table detailing their current closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems in relation to the technical specifications required by the Stadium Licensing Authority.
The submission of these documents marks a critical step in the national initiative to modernize surveillance infrastructure across Cyprus’s athletic venues. The Licensing Authority will now conduct a comprehensive review of the provided data. Following this assessment, officials will collaborate with each individual stadium authority to finalize the specific technical upgrades needed to ensure full compliance with established safety standards.
Once the evaluation process concludes, the authorities will prepare the necessary documentation to initiate formal tender processes where technical gaps are identified. This systematic approach aims to synchronize all stadium security systems with current regulatory requirements, ensuring that the necessary infrastructure enhancements proceed in an organized and transparent manner.
