The Cyprus Police conducted intensive nationwide enforcement operations on the nights of October 18 and 19, 2026, aimed at preventing criminal activity and ensuring public order. Across these operations, authorities checked hundreds of vehicles, individuals, and business premises to address traffic violations and other criminal offenses.
On the night of October 18, police arrested seven people for offenses including burglary, theft, traffic violations, and illegal stay. They issued 253 traffic citations, 104 of which were for speeding, and recorded 21 positive alcohol tests and five positive drug tests. The following night, operations resulted in 11 arrests for various crimes, including drug possession, theft, illegal stay, and possession of uncustomed tobacco.
