Cyprus culture ministry announces funding schemes for 2026
The Department of Contemporary Culture of the Cyprus Deputy Ministry of Culture has launched two distinct financial support schemes for 2026. The first initiative supports the publication of magazines and newspapers by occupied municipalities, communities, and related non-profit organizations, aiming to preserve historical memory and cultural identity. Each eligible entity may submit only one application for this funding.
The second initiative is the 2026 Support Scheme for Technological and Digital Upgrading of Cultural Entities. This program features a total budget of €400,000 and is open to private legal entities, such as non-profits and foundations, that have been active in the field for at least two years and maintain their own or rented cultural, office, or storage facilities. The scheme provides a grant covering 85% of equipment costs, with a maximum limit of €30,000 per entity, excluding VAT. Applications for this program must be submitted electronically by November 2, 2026, at 14:00.
