Omonia focuses on domestic league after European victory against Celje

Following an impressive 3-0 victory over Celje in the second round of the Europa League stage on October 16, Omonia Nicosia is shifting its focus back to the Cyprus League. Under manager Henning Berg, the team demonstrated tactical discipline and offensive efficiency in Slovenia, securing six points in the European standings. The squad is now preparing for the upcoming sixth round of the domestic championship against Olympiakos, scheduled for October 19 at the GSP Stadium.

Manager Henning Berg continues to manage a demanding schedule, balancing domestic commitments with an upcoming Europa League clash against Benfica on October 22. The team's recent performance has been bolstered by players like Muamer Tankovic, who has scored in three consecutive matches, and the integration of new signings. Regarding squad availability, David Akintola remains sidelined due to a muscle injury and is expected to return for the match against AEK Larnaca on October 26. Conversely, Andreas Christou has returned to the matchday squad for the game against Olympiakos. Omonia currently occupies a strong position in the Europa League table and aims to carry this momentum into their domestic campaign as they seek to maintain a winning rhythm.
