RoboMarkets AEL wins the 2026-2027 Allwyn Women's Volleyball Super Cup

On Monday, October 19, 2026, the women’s volleyball team of RoboMarkets AEL secured the 2026-2027 Allwyn Super Cup by defeating Olympiada Neapoleos in a five-set match at the Lefkotheo arena. This victory marks the 13th title in the competition's history for the Limassol-based club, which had not won the trophy since 2012.

Olympiada Neapoleos, which had dominated all domestic competitions for the previous four years, started the final strongly and took a 2-0 lead in sets. However, AEL, coached by Pasqualino Giangrossi, mounted a significant comeback to win the next three sets, finishing the match 3-2. This defeat ends the four-year reign of Olympiada, which entered the season with a drastically restructured roster, a new head coach in Alexis Kamberidis, and several new foreign recruits including Piper Matsumoto, Natalie Mitchem, and Mariana Sharp.

The two teams are scheduled to face each other again on November 10, 2026, in the opening round of the Allwyn First Division women's championship, with RoboMarkets AEL hosting the match.
