AEK Larnaca versus Akritas Chlorakas cup match schedule change
The first-round match of the Coca-Cola Cup between AEK Larnaca and Akritas Chlorakas has been rescheduled. The game will now take place on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, with kick-off moved to 17:00 instead of the originally planned 19:00. This adjustment was made following a joint request from both participating clubs and will be held at the AEK Arena stadium.
The Cyprus Football Association (CFA) has officially confirmed the appointment of referee Giorgos A. Georgiou to officiate the match, supported by assistants Petros Petrou and Dimitris Dimitri, with Antonis Konstantinidis serving as the VAR official. This encounter is part of the ongoing opening phase of the competition, which includes various single-leg matches held throughout October and November. Other teams such as Nea Salamina are also scheduled to play on the same day.
Following this match, the cup tournament continues with several fixtures scheduled through early November. Several top-tier clubs, including Pafos FC, Apollon, and Omonia Nicosia, are exempt from participating in this initial phase of the tournament based on the current regulations.
