Cyprus Football Association announces Coca-Cola Cup developments
The Cyprus Football Association (KOP) has provided updates regarding the Coca-Cola Cup for the 2026-2027 season, including schedules for multiple divisions and official officiating appointments for the ongoing first-round matches. On October 21, 2026, two key first-round fixtures take place: AEK Larnaca hosts Akritas Chlorakas at the AEK Arena, while Nea Salamina faces APEA Akrotiri at the Ammochostos-Epistrofi stadium.
Notably, the starting time for the AEK Larnaca versus Akritas Chlorakas match was moved from 19:00 to 17:00 following a mutual request from both clubs. The tournament structure excludes Pafos FC, Apollon Limassol, and Omonia Nicosia from the first round, while Anorthosis, ASIL Lysis, and EN Paralimni have advanced as lucky losers. Meanwhile, the KOP also held a separate draw for the third division and STOK Elite Cup involving 21 teams.
Looking ahead, the tournament continues with a series of scheduled matches running through early November. As the competition progresses, teams like AEK and Nea Salamina are managing squad rotations in anticipation of upcoming league fixtures, while the officiating teams for the current matches have been finalized by the Association.
