Pafos FC and APOEL draw 0-0 in Cyprus League match

Pafos FC and APOEL played to a goalless 0-0 draw on October 19, 2026, at the Stelios Kyriakides stadium during the 6th round of the Cyprus League by Stoiximan. The match featured intense action with multiple scoring opportunities for both sides, but solid defensive efforts and crucial saves by the goalkeepers kept the scoreline blank. APOEL showed strong control in the first half, while Pafos FC increased their pressure significantly after the 60th minute.

APOEL was led by assistant coach Nikolas Karampetakis in place of the suspended head coach Nikos Papadopoulos. Karampetakis praised the team's defensive passion and reiterated that the club's objective remains to secure the top spot in the standings. Meanwhile, Pafos FC manager Ricardo Sa Pinto acknowledged the team's tactical adjustments in the second half but expressed frustration over the lack of clinical finishing, noting that the squad was hindered by several injury-related absences in their defensive line.

Following this result, Pafos FC remains in 5th place with ten points, while APOEL sits in 8th place with seven. Looking ahead, APOEL faces Omonoia 29M at GSP Stadium on October 25, 2026, as they seek to improve their away form and climb the table, while the medical staff monitors the fitness of players Limnios and Karigio following their forced substitutions.
