Ararat defeats AEL in rescheduled Futsal Championship match

On October 19, 2026, the second round of the Futsal Championship concluded with a rescheduled match at the Melkonian arena, where Ararat secured a 5-3 victory over AEL. This result marked Ararat's first win of the season, while AEL recorded its second consecutive loss. The game was originally scheduled for October 15 but was postponed due to rainfall that caused damage to the stadium's roof.

For the hosts, goals were scored by Polykarpou, who recorded a hat-trick, as well as Andreou and Kola. AEL’s goals were scored by Anastasiadis, Iereidis, and Georgiou. The match concluded the second round of league play.

The third round is scheduled for October 22 and 23. Key fixtures include Omonia versus APOEL at the Tasos Papadopoulos-Eleftheria arena on Thursday at 18:00, with a time shift requested by both teams. On the same day, AEL will face AEK in a behind-closed-doors match due to a carryover penalty from the previous season, while the round will conclude on Friday with additional matches including Elpida Astromeriti against Ararat.
