Cultural and arts events calendar for late October in Cyprus
Nicosia and the wider Cyprus region are hosting an array of cultural events throughout the final weeks of October 2026. The ArtCargo Festival, which runs until October 25, brings circus acts, theatre, and installations like 'Parametric Deep' to public spaces across the capital. Additionally, the Nicosia International Festival 2026 features various performances, including the concert 'Words of Silence' at the Cyprus Museum on October 22, starring Yiannis Koutis, Markus Stockhausen, and Marios Takoushis.
Theatre enthusiasts can attend 'The Father' at the Dentro Theatre on October 20, 26, and 27, or the multi-communal production of 'Brandy Sour', directed by Neoklis Neokleous, which features both Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot actors. The production moves from the Goethe-Institut in Nicosia to Deryneia on October 21 and Pyla on November 8. Other ongoing visual arts include 'A Planet in Common' at the Diatopos Art Centre until November 13 and an exhibition of five contemporary artists from Armenia and Iran at Gallery 45 in Limassol until November 29.
Educational and architectural events are also prominent, such as a Frederick University seminar on traditional architecture held as part of European Heritage Days. These events, ranging from dance and cinema to academic lectures, form a significant portion of the island's current cultural output.
