Nicosia hosts the inaugural UniConnect student festival

The Municipality of Nicosia is set to host the inaugural UniConnect Nicosia 2026, a major festival dedicated to the capital's students and youth. The event will take place on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, from 18:00 to 23:00 at the Nicosia City Hall. The program features live entertainment, including a Mix FM live link with presenters Kalia Eleftheriou and Elena Olympiou from 18:00 to 20:00, and a performance by special guest DJ Steve Provis.

Organized by the Nicosia City Council’s Youth Committee, the initiative aims to foster networking, collaboration, and social connection among students from various universities across the city. Marios Mougis, a Nicosia City Councilor and Chairman of the Youth Committee, stated that the project was conceived to help students integrate more deeply with the urban environment and build relationships beyond their specific academic institutions. The city administration hopes to establish UniConnect Nicosia as an annual tradition for the local student community, fostering a unified youth identity within the capital.
