Artemis Credit Bureau facilitates ESG adoption in Cyprus

Artemis Credit Bureau, a subsidiary of the Association of Cyprus Banks, is leading the integration of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) standards within the Cypriot business market. By collaborating with the international group ICAP CRIF, the bureau has introduced the Synesgy platform, which facilitates interbank ESG assessment for local companies. The initiative aims to enhance corporate accountability, transparency, and long-term financial sustainability.

To ensure a smooth transition, the bureau conducted a series of informative campaigns across Cyprus before the formal adoption of European regulations. These sessions focused on helping businesses of all sizes understand that ESG criteria are strategic competitive tools rather than merely regulatory obligations.
