Cyprus House of Representatives publishes 2024 MP asset declarations
On Tuesday, October 20, 2026, the Cyprus House of Representatives released the annual asset declarations, known as pothen esches, for 33 members of parliament. Among the filings, Disy MP and former health minister George Pamboridis reported the highest net assets at €3.37 million, with his family's net assets totaling €5.29 million. His declared assets include €2.79 million in receivables from various company shares, €376,207 in bank deposits, and vehicles worth €231,500, alongside liabilities of €958,335 tied to a Eurobank loan. Limassol MP Fotini Tsiridou recorded the second-highest individual net assets at €996,892.
The publication follows new 2024 legislation that grants the tax commissioner authority to audit these financial disclosures. Despite the release, 23 of the 56 total parliamentary declarations remain outstanding, with several newly elected MPs from Disy and Elam yet to submit their filings. The disclosed properties, particularly land inherited at zero cost, highlight the varied financial backgrounds of the legislators. The authorities are expected to continue the audit process as the remaining declarations are filed, ensuring compliance with the updated transparency regulations.
