ArtCargo festival continues in Nicosia with second week of performances

The ArtCargo festival continues its second week in Nicosia, transforming public spaces into venues for contemporary performances and artistic installations. On October 22 and 23, the Spanish duo ELELEI will present their performance titled 'Blindly' at Eleftheria Square. The duo, composed of Sabrina Gargano and Rafa Jagat, performs blindfolded to explore themes of vulnerability, trust, and human perception through dance, theater, and acrobatics. Shows are scheduled for 18:30 and 20:00.

Simultaneously, the Municipal Gardens of Nicosia will host the final presentations of 'Parametric Deep' on October 22 and 23 at 19:00. This project, directed by choreographer Panos Malactos and produced by ArtCargo on commission by Valis, utilizes an advanced technological system to project the image of a dancer onto a water fountain’s mist.

Following these events, Catalan artist Joan Català will present 'Pelat' on October 23 at Eleftheria Square and on October 24 at the Townhall. This participatory performance invites the audience to collaborate with the artist to explore the balance between physical effort, trust, and collective action, marking the next phase of the festival’s diverse cultural program.
