Conjoined twins pass away in Colombia
Ecuadorian conjoined twins Jose Luis and Jose Armando Cevallos have died in Colombia at the age of 27. The siblings, who were born in Milagro and were known as the "Siameses del Ecuador," had been united at the pelvic region for their entire lives, sharing vital organs which made surgical separation extremely hazardous. Their health deteriorated suddenly, leading to fatal cardiac arrests shortly after one another.
The brothers had traveled to Colombia in April 2026 to undergo a specialized rehabilitation and treatment program aimed at improving their mobility. Their public presence on social media had gained them significant attention as they documented their daily challenges and their hopeful journey toward greater physical independence. While one report indicates their passing occurred during a complex surgical procedure intended for their separation, another source reports they died following a sudden deterioration in their health, specifically suffering cardiac arrests shortly after each other.
