German travel agents visit Paphos to promote year-round tourism
Eight German travel agents are visiting the Paphos district this week as part of an initiative to promote the region as a year-round tourist destination. The visit, coordinated by the Paphos Regional Board of Tourism in collaboration with Louis Hotels, aims to increase tourist arrivals from the German market by showcasing the district's natural beauty, cultural heritage, and modern infrastructure.
On Wednesday, October 21, the delegation toured rural areas, including visits to the Kathikas village and its museum, the Ineia village, the Lara Turtle Museum, and the Basketry Museum. The itinerary also included the Baths of Aphrodite, lunch in Polis Chrysochous, and a stop at the Marion-Arsinoe Archaeological Museum. The program concludes on Friday with further tours to Petra tou Romiou, Paphos city centre, the Yeroskipou seafront, and the Kato Paphos Archaeological Park, culminating in a traditional meal.
This promotional trip serves as an opportunity for industry professionals to gain firsthand experience of the Paphos district, which authorities hope will lead to a stronger tourism connection between the region and Germany.
