Paphos hosts German travel agents to boost tourism
A delegation of eight German travel agents is currently touring the Paphos district this week as part of a collaborative effort between the Paphos Regional Board of Tourism (ETAP) and Louis Hotels. The initiative, announced on October 21, 2026, aims to increase tourist arrivals from Germany and promote the region as a premier year-round destination by showcasing its cultural heritage, natural environment, and upgraded infrastructure.
The itinerary includes visits to rural locations, such as the villages of Kathikas and Ineia, featuring local attractions like the Flora and Fauna Museum, the Lara Turtle Museum, and the Basketry Museum. The delegation is also visiting significant sites including the Baths of Aphrodite, the Marion-Arsinoe Archaeological Museum, and the Kato Paphos Archaeological Park. The familiarisation programme concludes on Friday with visits to Petra tou Romiou, Paphos city centre, and Yeroskipou seafront, alongside tours of traditional culinary offerings.
This visit serves to strengthen public-private sector cooperation and highlight the Paphos district beyond its established tourist centres. By focusing on the hinterland and year-round offerings, ETAP seeks to create new opportunities within the Central European market and enhance the overall recognition of the Paphos region among international visitors.
