Nea Salamina advances to the next round of the Coca-Cola Cup

On October 21, 2026, Nea Salamina secured a 4-0 victory against APEA Akrotiri, successfully advancing to the next stage of the Coca-Cola Cup. Nea Salamina coach Angel Lopez expressed satisfaction with the team's performance, emphasizing that the players remained serious and competitive throughout the entire match. He credited the victory to the team's respect for their opponents and their experience in similar cup fixtures.

Lopez also highlighted the significance of the fans' support at the Ammochostos-Epistrofi stadium. Despite recent poor results in previous league matches, the supporters created a strong atmosphere that, according to the coach, makes it difficult for any opponent to perform. This victory serves as a morale booster for the team as they shift their focus toward an upcoming challenge.

Looking ahead, Nea Salamina is preparing for a difficult encounter against Pafos FC. Coach Lopez described Pafos as a team of Champions League caliber, acknowledging their quality and their potential to contest for the championship title. The club is now focusing its efforts on this high-stakes fixture, aiming to maintain the current positive momentum established in the cup competition.
