Architectural installation RE.FRAME appears at the Strovolos Linear Park

A metal scaffold structure has been installed at the Strovolos Linear Park in Nicosia, situated behind the municipal building. The installation has attracted significant attention from local residents, with many observed stopping to examine the site. Some individuals have repurposed the metal poles by attaching fabrics to create makeshift hammocks, utilizing the space for relaxation during evening hours.

The structure is an architectural project titled "RE.FRAME," which serves as a practical outcome of the Summer Workshop for Students and Young Architects 2026. This workshop took place between September 21 and October 2, 2026, at the Pedio space in Nicosia. The project was organized by the Cyprus Architects Association in collaboration with the relevant academic department, with the explicit goal of highlighting alternative ways to utilize and interact with public urban spaces. Informational signage posted at the site explains the initiative's purpose and background to visitors.
