Cyprus returns to winter time on October 25, 2026
Cyprus will transition from summer time to winter time on Sunday, October 25, 2026. At 4:00 AM, local clocks must be set back one hour to 3:00 AM, in accordance with standard European Union regulations.
The change follows a formal announcement by the Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry, which cited a regulatory decree published in the Official Gazette of the Republic on July 9, 2021 (Regulatory Administrative Act 293/2021, paragraph e). This measure is implemented consistently across all European Union member states as part of a synchronized effort to manage seasonal time shifts.
While the current transition moves the country into winter time, the return to summer time is scheduled for the final Sunday of March 2027. No further regulatory action is required, as the change is governed by the standing decree established in 2021.
