Real Madrid prepares for AEK Athens match following Champions League victory

Following a convincing 4-1 home victory over RB Leipzig in the third round of the Champions League League Phase, Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho has shifted his focus to the upcoming match against AEK Athens at Nea Filadelfeia. Mourinho acknowledged that the team is in a strong position with nine points, moving closer to direct qualification for the Round of 16, although he noted that approximately 20 points may be required to fully secure that spot.

Despite the recent success, Mourinho emphasized that the upcoming trip to the Greek capital will be an extremely challenging test. The manager pointed to a congested schedule as a point of concern, specifically noting that Real Madrid has a domestic league match on Sunday, followed by a demanding fixture in Valencia just two days after the encounter with AEK. The team continues to prepare for these high-stakes fixtures as they balance their European ambitions with their domestic league commitments.
