Water supply disruption in Athienou scheduled for October 23

On Friday, October 23, 2026, residents and businesses in the Athienou municipal district will experience water supply disruptions. According to an official announcement by the Larnaca District Self-Government Organization (EOA Larnaca), the water supply will be significantly reduced in the Athienou residential area and completely cut off in the Industrial Area.

The service interruption is scheduled to last from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. local time. The measure is necessary to allow repair crews from the Water Development Department (WDD) to fix a leakage discovered in the local water distribution network. EOA Larnaca has advised consumers to be cautious with their water usage during this period and to rely on the reserves stored in private tanks at their respective premises. The organization expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to the public by these emergency maintenance works.
