Cyprus league matchday seven previews and team updates

The seventh matchday of the Cyprus League by Stoiximan features critical encounters, headlined by APOEL hosting Omonia 29M at the GSP Stadium today, October 25, at 18:00. APOEL aims to capitalize on home advantage to rebound from a goalless draw against Paphos, while Omonia 29M enters the match with high morale following a win over Anorthosis. APOEL faces significant personnel challenges with Sastre and Stafylidis suspended, Carrillo injured, and Limnios, Mancini, and Vrontis listed as doubtful. Omonia 29M fans have sold out their allocation of 1,000 tickets.

Elsewhere, league leaders AEL Limassol face Aris today at 19:00 at Alphamega Stadium. AEL seeks to extend their winning streak and defend the top spot despite a mounting injury list, including Denswil and Almeida. In other developments, Omonia Nicosia is managing the fitness of Evandro Costa ahead of their upcoming derby against AEK on October 26, while Anorthosis recently defeated Omonia Aradippou 2-0, prompting Omonia Aradippou manager Giannos Okkas to acknowledge his team's poor performance in the match.

Investigations and medical evaluations for injured players across these clubs remain ongoing as teams navigate a congested schedule with cup matches also approaching.
