Pafos FC and Nea Salamina draw 0-0 in Cyprus League

Nea Salamina and Pafos FC played to a scoreless draw at the Ammochostos-Epistrofi stadium on October 26, 2026, during the seventh round of the Cyprus League by Stoiximan. Despite several scoring opportunities for both sides in the first half, including a disallowed goal for Pafos and a post-hit header by Nea Salamina’s Grancir, neither team managed to break the deadlock. The second half saw a significant drop in intensity, leading to the final 0-0 scoreline.

Following the match, Pafos coach Ricardo Sa Pinto expressed intense frustration with the officiating, specifically regarding a denied penalty claim involving a player having his sock torn during a challenge. Sa Pinto, whose team has now failed to score in three of their last four league matches, argued that such errors are depriving his club of critical points. Meanwhile, Nea Salamina manager Angel Lopez stated he was unsatisfied with the single point, believing his team deserved a victory based on their performance.

Pafos remains in fifth place with 12 points, while Nea Salamina sits in the relegation zone in 12th place with five points. Pafos is scheduled to face Apollon in their next fixture on October 31.
