Woman hospitalized following pedestrian collision in Strovolos

A 28-year-old woman was hospitalized on the morning of October 23, 2026, after being struck by a vehicle while walking in Strovolos, Nicosia. The incident occurred at approximately 10:20 a.m. on Kantaras Avenue.

The pedestrian was transported by ambulance to the Nicosia General Hospital, where she remains under medical care. Attending physicians have confirmed that she sustained a craniocerebral injury and a hematoma to the head. The vehicle involved was driven by a 66-year-old woman.

Following the collision, police conducted standard sobriety and drug tests on the driver, both of which returned negative results.
