Vandalism reported at Agios Georgios residential complex in Paphos
Two masked individuals caused extensive damage to the reception area of the Agios Georgios residential complex in Paphos late on Friday, October 23. Authorities were alerted shortly after 23:30, following reports that the intruders, armed with metal pipes, broke into the building which comprises approximately 200 apartments and houses. No staff were present at the scene during the incident.
The perpetrators destroyed glass windows, vases, computer equipment, and surveillance cameras. The Paphos Criminal Investigation Department (TAE) has cordoned off the area to conduct a forensic examination. The police are investigating the incident as a case of malicious damage to property, possession of an offensive weapon, and conspiracy to commit a misdemeanor.
While Cyprus Times reported the incident occurring in Tremithousa, other sources indicated the location as Emba, both areas within the Paphos district. Investigators are currently reviewing footage from the security system—despite some equipment being damaged—as part of their ongoing efforts to identify and apprehend the suspects.
