Former Director of Medical Services Olga Kalakouta passes away

Olga Kalakouta, the former Director of Medical Services at the Cyprus Ministry of Health, has passed away. Her death was confirmed on October 24, 2026, and her funeral took place on the morning of the same day.

Throughout her extensive career, Kalakouta served as a lead health officer and subsequently as the Director of Medical Services, where she was widely recognized for her responsibility and dedication to the public health sector. Following her retirement, she faced personal health challenges that cut her post-career life short.
